Yoniq debuted its new handheld device, the Yoniq Portal, at Gamescom this week. Resembling a classic DualShock 2 controller with an integrated display, the unit was showcased running World Soccer: Winning Eleven 8, a title originally released back in 2004.
A hands-on video from Retro Dodo reveals a 4.5-inch angled screen and action buttons featuring signature PlayStation-style icons. The device runs on Yoniq's proprietary Pantas software and includes a bottom-mounted charging port for mobile power delivery.
Official signage highlights AI performance scheduling, cross-platform cloud connectivity, and professional gamepad adjustment. While Yoniq promises handheld optimized performance for the Portal, the company has not yet announced a formal release date.
