MSI Unveils MPG 271KRAW18 5K Mini LED Monitor

MSI's MPG 271KRAW18 is the world's first 5K Mini LED gaming monitor with a glossy coating, featuring 2304 dimming zones and dual-mode tech.

MSI is preparing the MPG 271KRAW18, a 27-inch gaming monitor featuring a 5K Mini LED panel with 2304 dimming zones and a pixel density of 218 PPI. Claimed as the world's first 5K Mini LED monitor with a glossy coating, it supports a 180 Hz refresh rate at 5K resolution. A dual-mode configuration allows users to switch to 2K resolution at up to 330 Hz. Color performance includes 98% DCI-P3 coverage and Delta E < 2 accuracy, alongside VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification. Connectivity is robust with one DisplayPort 2.1 (80 Gbps), one HDMI 2.1, and a USB Type-C port with 98W Power Delivery. The unit also includes a USB Hub with two Type-A ports, one Type-B port, and a 3.5mm jack. While pricing remains undisclosed, the MPG 271KRAW18 is expected to launch in January 2027.
