Montage Samples Gen 6 DDR5 RCD at 9200 MT/s
Montage Technology has sampled its Gen 6 DDR5 RCD06 chip, delivering 9200 MT/s for next-generation RDIMM memory modules.
On June 11, 2026, Montage Technology announced the sampling of its Gen 6 DDR5 Registering Clock Driver (RCD06) chip, specifically engineered for next-generation DDR5 Registered Dual In-line Memory Modules (RDIMMs). The RCD06 supports data transfer rates of up to 9200 MT/s, representing a 15% performance increase over the previous generation. Under the leadership of President Stephen Tai, the company developed the chip with a dual-channel independent architecture where sub-channels share clock logic but operate independently. This design enables separate parity checking without cross-channel interference. Furthermore, the RCD06 integrates Continuous Time Linear Equalization (CTLE) and a low-jitter Phase-Locked Loop (PLL) to maintain signal stability at high frequencies.
