Nvidia and SK Hynix Sign Multi-Year Memory Deal

SK Hynix and Nvidia partner to co-develop next-gen memory for AI factories, securing SK Hynix's role as Nvidia's primary HBM supplier.

SK Hynix and Nvidia have entered a multi-year agreement to advance memory development and supply, solidifying SK Hynix's position as the largest supplier of High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) for Nvidia. During a meeting in South Korea with the head of SK Hynix, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang confirmed the partnership will focus on co-developing next-generation memory for AI factories. The collaboration targets several high-performance platforms, including NVIDIA Vera Rubin AI supercomputers, Vera CPUs, RTX Spark powered PCs, and Jetson Thor robotic computing platforms. As part of the deal, Nvidia will provide AI developments to optimize chip manufacturing, while SK Hynix will utilize CUDA-X and PhysicsNeMo for design and manufacturing simulations. The agreement also includes the advancement of Fab Digital Twins for Autonomous Manufacturing to enhance workflow efficiency.
