Intel Q970 Chipset for Nova Lake CPUs Leaked

Intel's Q970 chipset for Nova Lake-S processors features the LGA 1954 socket, DDR5 CUDIMM support, and PCIe 5.0 for business workstations.

Intel is preparing the Q970 chipset for its upcoming Nova Lake-S desktop processors, utilizing the new LGA 1954 socket which succeeds the LGA 1851. Designed for the business and workstation segment, the Q970 includes Intel vPro support but lacks CPU and memory overclocking capabilities. Leaked specifications for a Q970 motherboard reveal two DIMM slots supporting up to 128GB of DDR5 CUDIMM memory. Connectivity features include PCIe Gen 5.0 x16 and PCIe Gen 5.0/4.0 x4 expansion slots, alongside two M.2 ports. The board also provides three LAN ports with 2.5 GbE support, HDMI 2.1, DP 1.4a, and a mix of USB 2.0 and USB 3.2 ports. The Q970 is part of a five-chipset lineup for the LGA 1954 platform, which also includes the Z990, Z970, B960, and W980 models.
