Founded in 2016, Tenstorrent specializes in developing AI accelerators based on the RISC-V architecture. Keller joined the company in 2021, which was previously valued at approximately $3 billion. The rumored deal is estimated to be worth between $8 billion and $10 billion, significantly higher than Qualcomm's $1.4 billion purchase of Nuvia. This news follows Tenstorrent's decision to reduce the core count and TDP of a product at the start of 2026. While Qualcomm is scheduled to host an Investor Day during the week of June 16, 2026, neither company has commented on the acquisition rumors.
