AMD Radeon RX 9050 Benchmarks vs RTX 5050

New benchmarks from Hermitage Akihabara compare the AMD Radeon RX 9050 against the GeForce RTX 5050 in gaming performance and efficiency.

AMD introduced the Radeon RX 9050 in late July 2026 as a lower-spec alternative to the RX 9060 and RX 9060 XT. A recent test by Hermitage Akihabara featuring the ASRock Radeon RX 9050 Challenger with 8 GB VRAM shows the card trailing the GeForce RTX 5050 across several titles. In Full HD benchmarks, the RX 9050 was 19 percent slower in Final Fantasy XIV, 24 percent slower in APEX Legends, and 15 percent slower in Rainbow Six Siege X. While the performance gap narrows at WQHD and Ultra HD resolutions, the RTX 5050 remains faster overall. However, the RX 9050 excels in efficiency with a 92-watt TDP, resulting in a total system power draw of 182 watts during gaming compared to 218 watts for the 130-watt TDP GeForce RTX 5050.
