Cadence Certifies AI Flows for Intel 18A-P and 14A

Cadence Design Systems announced its AI-driven flows are certified for Intel Foundry's 18A-P and 14A nodes, featuring RibbonFET and PowerVia.

Cadence Design Systems has achieved certification for its AI-driven digital and custom reference flows on Intel 18A-P and Intel 14A technologies. Based on Intel Foundry process design kits, these certifications cover synthesis, place-and-route, signoff, and physical verification. The collaboration includes a multi-year DTCO agreement for Intel 14A, which utilizes RibbonFET 2 and PowerDirect technologies. Cadence and Intel Foundry also co-developed an advanced packaging reference design flow for EMIB and EMIB-T. Silicon validation of IP test chips on Intel 18A has been completed using Cadence interface and memory IP. Executives Shawn Han of Intel and Boyd Phelps of Cadence highlighted the partnership within the Intel Foundry Accelerator Ecosystem Alliance. The certified flows will be showcased at the Design Automation Conference.
