CXMT Completes R&D for LPDDR6 Memory Chips
Chinese manufacturer ChangXin Memory Technologies advances its LPDDR6 chips through R&D verification, targeting mass production soon.
ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT) has reportedly completed the R&D verification stage for its LPDDR6 memory chips, following single-chip verification. This milestone precedes small-batch import verification and eventual mass production. The 16Gb chips feature a 1295 Ball POP package, offering a base speed of 10,667 Mbps and a design speed of 12,800 Mbps. Cupertino-based Apple is reportedly interested in sourcing memory from CXMT. In the competitive landscape, SK hynix plans mass production of its 10nm-class 16Gb LPDDR6 modules in the second half of 2026, featuring speeds exceeding 10.7 Gbps. CXMT's market momentum is further reflected in its IPO performance, where shares opened at CNY8.66 and closed at CNY49, marking a 466% increase.
