ASUS Unveils Portable XG Core External GPU

The new ASUS XG Core features an AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT LP GPU and 16GB of GDDR6 memory in a compact 75W external enclosure.

ASUS has officially introduced the XG Core, a new portable external graphics accelerator designed for mobile performance. The compact device features the AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT LP GPU and includes 16GB of GDDR6 memory to handle demanding graphical workloads.

The XG Core is rated at 406 TOPS using INT4 operations, providing significant AI and compute power in a small form factor. Measuring just 144x117x39mm, the enclosure operates with a total rated power of 75W, emphasizing efficiency for users on the move.

This launch marks a push by ASUS into the portable eGPU market, offering a high-performance solution for laptop users. While the technical specifications are now public, ASUS has not yet announced the official pricing or availability for the XG Core unit.
