Intel Nova Lake-S Details Leak Ahead of 2026 Launch

Intel's Nova Lake-S desktop CPUs will feature up to 52 cores, Xe3P graphics, and high power demands when they arrive starting in 2026.

Intel is preparing to launch its Nova Lake-S processor lineup in 2026, featuring Coyote Cove P-Cores and Arctic Wolf E-Cores. The series includes a 16-core SKU configured with four P-Cores, eight E-Cores, and four LPE-Cores integrated into the I/O die. This specific model features 12 Xe3P GPU cores requiring 65W of power and two VCCGT phases. High-end configurations will offer up to 52 cores across two compute dies, reaching a PL2 power level of 474W. To support these demands, Z990 motherboards may include three 8-pin CPU power connectors. While a 28-core DS version is expected in Q1 2027, overclocking-focused K SKUs are slated for early Q2 2027. The 175W platform will support both 44-core and 52-core processors, while single compute die versions will scale up to 28 cores.
