UAE-based GPU Solutions is offering VRAM upgrades for the RTX 2080 Ti and RTX 3070, doubling the 2080 Ti's memory capacity to 22GB.

UAE-based shop GPU Solutions has launched a specialized service to upgrade the VRAM of NVIDIA graphics cards, specifically targeting the RTX 2080 Ti and RTX 3070. For the RTX 2080 Ti, the process involves replacing the original 11 1GB GDDR6 chips with 11 2GB modules to reach a total of 22GB. This hardware modification requires disassembling the card to access the PCB and physically adjusting strap resistors—such as moving from a low-low-low to a high-high-low configuration—to ensure the GPU supports a new BIOS provided by the shop. Once modified, the card correctly reports 22GB of VRAM in GPU-Z. The service includes new thermal pads, fresh thermal paste, and benchmarking data to verify stability. While the shop demonstrated the mod on an Asus Strix variant via YouTube, the service is limited to compatible PCB layouts, and pricing is not currently listed on their website.
